No it didn’t. The thread you linked is from January 2024, whereas Hexbear defederated from Blahaj already in August 2023. Even one of the comments there says “Is also deeply offended by hexbear just existing even though they defederated months ago”.

I’d also point out that it’s literally just one user’s comments, which are now deleted by Blahaj mods, and not an actual admin’s or mod’s comments. Hardly relevant to characterising a whole large instance.
