I have never really understood how this comic got so popular. It’s always felt like an SNL skit that has gone on too long. The shtick was kind of funny 2 or 3 times but it got old to me quickly. One of those things where I just felt like I could start writing the jokes immediately.
Not knocking those of you who enjoy it. It’s just always surprised me how popular it is. I’ve enjoyed a lot of web comics and this is the only one that’s really made me scratch my head
I think there’s a ton to gain from analyzing comics/comedy. It’s an art form like anything else. Like I said I am not judging people for it. I am saying how it hits for me and it’s interesting.
I still enjoy the comics, but I have no idea how they got an animated series. The jokes are fine for a once-a-day thing, but minutes of this stuff at a time? I barely managed to get through the first episode.

Well at least it’s not Garfield
But Garfield gave us imsorryjon
Low bar lol
I think he could’ve touched more weird things we humanoids do that do feel alien to us if we step aside and really think about them.
I recommend you to actually do write jokes on your own, (simple) creativity like this can feel really great.
I save it for banter. It’s about delivery when you do stuff like that. Like saying song lyrics in a plain, uptight voice.
I agree with everything you said, yet I still enjoy these comics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Different folks different strokes. I don’t think there’s much to gain from analyzing why something may or may not make you laugh.
I feel the same way about pizzacakecomics. Not once has it made me laugh personally, but judging by upvotes a ton of people like it

I guess Apple must’ve been desperate for content.
I think Nathan Pyle’s work is hilarious. The Strange Planet stuff isn’t for me, but the rest of it is.
