Sweden became NATO’s newest member on Thursday (7 March 2024), upon depositing its instrument of accession to the North Atlantic Treaty with the Government of the United States in Washington DC. With Sweden’s accession, NATO now counts 32 countries among its members.
Can you explain why Sweden hasn’t gone to war with (we weren’t talking about sanctions) the USA if they’re so opposed to appeasement?
Because the US geopolitical goals and actions, while often reprehensible, generally speaking aren’t against Swedish interests, whereas Russia is a much more direct threat to Sweden.
Why does China keep appeasing the US by not sending weapons to support Russia?
So appeasement does sometimes work then.
It’s not appeasement if the party being “appeased” is not opposed to you to begin with.

Sweden wouldn’t prefer the USA not repeatedly destroy other countries and commit genocide?
Sure they would, but not as much as Russia doing the same but much closer to Sweden.
