Apparently Polievre’s grievance politics don’t play very well to an audience with actual grievances.

“…while vowing economic opportunity as a path to reconciliation.”

I’m guessing this means making deals with first nations groups to grant corporations the right to strip mine natural resources without federal oversight while paying relatively tiny subsidies to indigenous owners.

Good on First Nations for not forgetting Poilievre has spent most of his career saying Canada should stop giving them money or they won’t get jobs. If only the rest of Canada still remembered all the shit he said back when he was Harper’s puppy.

“My view is that we need to engender the values of hard work and independence and self-reliance. That’s the solution in the long run — more money will not solve it,” Poilievre said.

The First Nations have heard a lot of empty promises from a lot of vote grubbing politicians. They want plans, not promises, and Poilievre has no plans. His grievance politics and obviously impossible promises play well to the gullible mouth breather crowd but people with actual grievances see right through him.

Well, the conservative politician’s version is White Grievances Matter
