Joe Biden’s administration is quietly offering “mass amnesty” to hundreds of thousands of migrants, an investigation has found, as the president faces a backlash ahead of the election.

More than 350,000 asylum cases have been closed by the US government since 2022 for applicants who do not have a criminal record and are not seen as national security threats, the New York Post found.

Although this means no official decision on asylum status has been made, it allows migrants to stay indefinitely in the US without fear of deportation.

FYI: Their citation for a “mass amnesty” is an opinion piece: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/comment/2024/03/09/biden-immigration-border-secret-flights-cbp-one-asylum/

If you think he’s being even-handed, he starts it like this:

But when it comes to immigration, Mr. Biden has flagrantly abused executive power, governing contrary to the will of the people, and has sought to hide the details of his lawless, open-borders agenda from the public.

This is about the 320,000 people granted parole because they aren’t deemed national security threats. The author of the editorial himself says they flew into airports, so this isn’t about people coming across the border.

What Biden is actually doing is clearing out the backlog of people who should have been granted parole because they’ve overstayed their visas, which is the most common reason people are in violation of immigration controls.

This is just some dumbass mad because the government works and other people exist.
