Hah. Like Netflix is ever going to approve a third season of anything ever again.

They have twenty to go, tops.

Yes. Netflix contracts are famous for having compensation bumps after the second season. Netflix tends to kill everything after the second season.

I mean, One Piece is kind of famous for it’s breadth. I feel like they wouldn’t greenlight it if they weren’t prepared to follow through.

Fans of the OPLA getting into the anime realizing they have 1000+ episodes to watch to catch up (this will take years)

Nah, I’ve stopped a number of times this year and I’m already nearing episode 800! I could probably do it all in like 2 months lol

On an unrelated note, I have no life.

I doubt that emily rudd and Godoy are going to make 1,000 episodes. There’s no way they could do that, and still look the same by the end of it, they would age and look older

Being allowed to age 2 years in 12 years (that’s how long others are estimating to complete the story while cutting out most of the filler like they’ve apparently done so far) is a LUXURY in Hollywood 😛

yeah that’s a very big concern only after showing big mom and other wacky characters and literally every fight after post marineford arc

      Nah it’s actually decent.

Then again I didn’t get the cowboy bebop hate either. It was okay? Like not OMFG THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW OF ALL TIME, but it wasn’t as shit as people claim it was. I fairly enjoyed the show, even after rewatching the anime right before.

One Piece actually captures the flow and the mood of the anime. It is over the top, like the anime, but realistically toned down so it doesn’t seem like it’s trying too hard. The pace is good and the changes to the story seem coherent to adapting as an live action and for people who have heard of One Piece but never really got into it. The dialogues aren’t literate master pieces but they really do not need to be. The special effects sometimes look a bit weird but they didn’t bother me too much.

More like 500 if we skip the filler and keep good pace unlike the anime which is and has been complete bullshit for close to a decade now.

More like 200 if with fillers you cut on all the bullshit episodes made it to take time, the flashbacks and side-bosses not relevant for the whole story. (I don’t believe anyway in more that 50)

They really thought adopting this show to live action was a good idea?

(I’m referring to the amount of episodes that meme is referring to. Not the quality of the show).

The thing about the anime is that it’s very, very, very slow. If you cut out all the useless scenes, filler episodes, reaction shots, etc, they would probably only have to adapt around 300-400 episodes, which, while still a lot, is much more feasable.
