    Part of the DEI push these days is “culture add” as opposed to “culture fit.” To be inclusive, we should figure out how someone can add to the culture of a workplace rather than forcing the person to make adjustments.

    I really like that perspective because people don’t always feel like they “fit in”, but they bring a lot to the table! Sometimes they just need encouragement to express themselves.

    No. Just…no. No more puzzle pieces to describe autistic people. A puzzle piece implies that we are incomplete and need to be “solved”. We don’t. Furthermore, it is a symbol heavily utilized by proponents of ABA and the very problematic organization Autism Speaks.
