American Libertarianism is kind of cursed by the fact we’re in a two-party system. So it tends to attract the people who don’t actually support the ideology. (Mostly conservatives at the moment.)

      Libertarianism is cursed by libertarians.

Everyone has a different idea of what perfect freedom looks like and those freedoms conflict with each other so libertarians do to.

American libertarianism is kind of cursed by being fascist-lite. Their freedoms (privileges) are the only one that matters. Guaranteeing the freedoms of society (others) isn’t really their thing. It isn’t the two party system. They’re just not actually libertarians.

American libertariansim is solipsism; it’s natural they can’t agree on anything. A group of libertarians is called an impasse.
