A tragic incident unfolded in Sparta Township, Michigan, as 23-year-old Olivia Miller faced arrest on Thursday in connection with the drowning of her eight-month-old son, Asher Johnson, back in November 2023.
I fail to see how this is news. A complete tragedy, and as others have mentioned, the mother will blame herself for the rest of her life. Move along.
On top of that — is this really the type of sources we should be posting from? The stories I managed to see on the front page, before the gagging became too much, seemed to be equal parts Megan & Harry, Trump, and Caitlyn Jenner. Pure tabloid trash. They don’t deserve the traffic.
For the first time in quite a while, I’m sorely missing the ability to downvote.
Edit: Ahhh, here we go 🙄

I’m guessing we know where you work now, eh mate? Some lovely astroturfing 🤢👍
Hot take, how sad it is that content on the phone is so addictive you’d forget your baby’s in the bathtub. Perfect way to hijack the mind of a tired new mother.
Good point. Also, would she be more of a victim if she was watching TikTok videos on how to babyproof the kitchen? Or tips on how to changing diapers or pump breast milk?
Initially claiming she left her baby sitting in a partially filled bathtub for five minutes while she went to the adjacent laundry room
This isn’t exactly a good excuse either.
And she gave that excuse as if babies don’t fling themselves all over the place, where looking away for one second could mean they fall off a table or slip underwater.
What absolutely awful negligence.
As a parent myself, there’s a lot of other things this could have been besides willful negligence. Exhaustion, stress, post partum disorder. She has in all likelihood already been punished.
I can’t even imagine how fucked up of a mental state that would leave her in. She’s going to regret this and hold herself responsible for this for the rest of her life. It’s tragic
