    Another working day has ended
Only the rush-hour hell to face
    Packed like lemmings
    Into shiny metal boxes
    Contestants in a suicidal race

I know it’s not, but it looks like the Gardner “expressway” in Downtown Toronto, pretty much any time of day.

Where is this? I’m a big fan of cityscapes, and even though being in this would depress the fuck out of me I do find it beautiful.

I couldn’t find the answer but I’m gonna guess Tokyo. If anyone finds a source I’m interested to know as well.

Traffic is the wrong side of the road for Japan. There is some text at the ground level of a building in the bottom left that looks like Chinese-style characters, but I’m not sure.

I hate that I have to look closely at these to try to evaluate if it’s AI or not. I think it’s real but I can’t say with 100% confidence.

AI, check the identical blue windows on the high rise in front/lower left, continue with the other wacky windows there.

          Nonetheless a fantastic cityscape.

Those windows with the curtain drawn the exact same way and the on ramp looking like something out of Cities: Skylines look like AI, but everything else looks too logical to me. They even have the sign accurately laying out the nonsense traffic pattern of the road looping around and underneath the highway.

It’s very well done and I hate that it takes this much effort to check whether or not a photo may or may not be fake.

Yup. There also weird double broken lane markings. Everyone’s headlights being blue as well.

Judging by the Subway sign in the lower left, I’m thinking this is somewhere in China. The locations I’ve seen in Tokyo only have the name in English.

Still can’t tell if it’s AI but here’s a very similar photo from Shanghai which does seem real https://nz.pinterest.com/pin/131659989093808148/

I thought if it was real it could be from the same photographer but no luck, however there are some really nice photos by her here if you like cityscapes.

Edit: found an earlier reference to this photo from 2019 which also claims to be in Shanghai but not where it actually is.

This is in Asia somewhere? Trying to find recognizable logos on buildings and don’t see any.

I’m fairly sure it’s AI garbo. Some of the lower right lane markings are my first giveaway but identical window interiors galore, all the headlights look the same color/shape, and there’s weird random lines across the road on the very bottom, mid left of the photo

Reckon that’s evidence of Photoshop rather than AI, especially considering its at least 4-5 years old (2019).

I low-key love this. I usually put on the lane assist and cruise control and just kinda zone out and vibe to the music I’ve got on.

Where? It looks pretty normal to me. The cars all seem to have normal shapes and I don’t see any major inconsistencies in shapes or perspective. The left lane is just more busy than the right one. There’s definitely some Photoshop and lightroom magic going on (for instance the windows in one of the towers on the foreground), but I don’t see any signs that scream AI to me. Just looks like a normal but heavily edited picture.

OTOH, that’s a really nice composure of people’s suffering. I feel conflicted.

Not a bike lane, train, or bus lane in sight. This was the future of travel in the 1950s.
