Braves adblock is the only technology I know of that gets through the EFF fingerprinting test while still providing a usable experience.

Not worth all the ads and crypto shenanigans though

It is fairly popular these days which gives me hope. The fact that people are willing to give up Chrome is a very good sign.

Honestly the custom Firefox browsers are the best option but they are less well known and harder to use and understand. The great part about Brave is that it just works.

Every single post about ad blockers will be someone talking about how “good” Brave is. Drives me crazy.

Imagine someone so lost and confused as to one’s beliefs that they go on a vendetta and post to the wrong forum.

This reminds me of the song by Johnathan Coulton, “Brave”.

      A part of the chorus:

When I torch the place And cover up my face That will make me brave

I’ve always wanted to love Iron Maiden, but I just can’t. It’s the lyrical delivery, like Dickinson invented the opposite of “flow”.

Obviously the band is GOAT when it comes to T-shirts.

Sadly it’s not even that far off the truth. Looking at Europe where more and more countries lean to the right. And the best idea democratic parties have is to copy right wing talking points in order to win back voters… which obviously doesn’t work.

I read the meme & I was like…what the hell’s wrong with Brave?? Good product IIRC.

I don’t use it anymore, only because it’s too niche (and isn’t it still basically Chrome, reskinned?). We can’t make enemies of every fucking browser because of every stupid little thing.

I’m now on Mozilla Firefox, partially because of this community & its push, and now I’m hearing “Mozilla bad, or will be bad, because advertisements”. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 Okay?? So who’s fucking good? Is anyone good? Can someone, somewhere, create a good & secure browser without issues?

    FDNY: New York’s racistest.

To be fair, they go into a burning building and come out in blackface

Is this about trump followers or did brave the browser do something? Since it’s on Linux memes, I am guessing it’s the later.

i don’t get what’s going on in this comment section - are we going to be mad at some code for what a person says on social media?

i tried running Firefox on my 2018 budget phone and every https handshake takes 5 awkward seconds and it’s more like 0.5 seconds on brave. it’s open source, built in dark mode, and runs well for me. it’s not even a gut feeling thing, on Android this is objectively beating the competition within the privacy conscious space.

i believe COVID is as natural and genuine as the historically evident spanish flu - but even if someone exists who is too stupid to get it, I’m happily enjoying the fact that he has nothing to do with me

Allow me to expand my point. If you are using a computing device of any type, you are using the fruits of the labor of IBM, Xerox, and AT&t from the 1950s and 1960s. That means, by your argument, you are glorifying racism, homophobia, sexual assault and xenophobia among other things. You should definitely get off the internet.

Better stop buying anything made in China then, what with the slavery and human rights abuses. And you should stop using oil and gas products as well because climate change kills. Good luck with that.

the same freedom that affords him the ability to be a dumbass in public affords you the freedom to not be dead.

though i do get the worries that come with the extremism spreading out.

most social media anger is trying to fix problems that aren’t problems. meanwhile politicians get away not pivoting towards UBI. then we get more nationalists, and then we get more social media shitstorms. 😬 anyways, enjoy the ride everyone

I might suggest getting off the internet and finding a completely self-sufficient lifestyle then. I guarantee you there are people that you would disagree with in person, in every supply chain.
