It’s not fully equal, but it’s way closer than people think. I tried Ubuntu in the mid teens and quit over lack of access to gaming. Last summer I switched to Garuda from Windows 11 and while there have been bumps in the road, gaming hasn’t been one of them. Proton just works for basically everything I try
We’re getting to the inflection point where Linux is easier to use than Windows. We’re probably already there if you include ChromeOS.
Just missing equally good gaming experience, whenever that happens ig many people will switch
